From the archive: My Debut BBC Radio 3 Live Broadcast

Back in November of 2025 I was lucky enough to be invited to perform a live broadcast from Broadcasting House on BBC Radio 3's In Tune Show. The opportunity came about through my old university choir, The Choir of Royal Holloway where I held a choral scholarship during my undergraduate studies.

My final project with the choir was to feature as the baritone soloist on a recording of Eleanor Daley's Requiem; an achingly beautiful composition representing a modern take on the requiem format, incorporating modern English texts as well as using the simplicity of an a'cappella choir.

To celebrate the release of the new album last November, the choir arranged a performance of the work at St. Bartholomew the Great, London's oldest church and were invited onto the BBC Radio 3 show In Tune, with Katie Derham, to perform extracts of the work to promote the concert.

It was a surreal experience and a great opportunity to learn more about live radio broadcasting and working in the studio, and I'm grateful to the choir for the chance to feature on the album as well as the chance to perform the work live on air and in concert.
